Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to choose someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you become unable to make them yourself. This could be due to an accident, illness, or mental incapacity.

There are two different types of LPA’s:
Property and Financial Affairs LPA
Health and Welfare LPA.
The former gives your chosen attorney the power to manage your finances and make decisions about property and assets, while the latter grants them the authority to make decisions about your health and wellbeing, including medical treatment and care.
Our Solicitors and legal advisors will talk you through and complete the application for you. We will also register the application at the Office of the Public Guardian on your behalf, which many organisations do not offer, we will then revert to you once we have the registered Lasting Power of Attorney.
